How much time do we have left?

We can get a clue about the end times in Daniel 12.
Daniel 12:1 "At that time, Michael the great leader who guards your people will take his stand. It will be a difficult time—nothing like it has ever happened since nations first appeared. But at that time every one of your people who is found written in the scroll will be rescued.
If we would follow the timeline from chapter 11 of Daniel, than we would understand we have arrived at the time of the Romans.
Jesus quotes from or refers to this verse in Matthew 24:21 where he says that "there will be great suffering such as the world has never before seen and will never see again".
The entire period from the year 70 to 1948 can be included in this, which is the period of the Roman Exile. It started as well as ended with trying to exterminate the Jews (by Titus and Hitler).
12:2 Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth will wake up—some to eternal life, others to shame and eternal disgrace. 3 Those skilled in wisdom will shine like the sky. Those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever and always. 4 But you, Daniel, must keep these words secret! Seal the scroll until the end time! Many will stray far, but knowledge will increase."
Make sure that we are talking about raising the dead and the end of times in this chapter.
12:5 I, Daniel, looked and suddenly saw two other figures—one standing on each side of the stream. 6 One said to the man clothed in white linen, who was farther upstream: "When will these astonishing things be over?" 7 I heard the man clothed in white linen, who was farther upstream, swear by the one who lives forever as he raised both hands to heaven: "For one set time, two set times, and half a set time. When the breaking of the holy people’s power is over, all these things will be over."
As we have seen in the Visions of the Woman with 12 Stars, the Two Prophets and the Whore on the Dragon, everywhere the period of 3,5 times, 42 months or 1260 prophetic days is the same. And they all refer to Daniel 12 here. This period is the Roman Exile.
The year that the breaking of the power of Israel is over, is 1948.
12:8 I heard it, but I didn’t understand it. "My lord," I said, "what will happen after all this?"
9 He said, "Get going now, Daniel, because these words must remain secret and sealed up until the end time. 10 Many will purify, cleanse, and refine themselves, but the wicked will act wickedly. None of the wicked will understand, but those skilled in wisdom will understand. 11 There will be one thousand two hundred ninety days from the time the daily sacrifice is stopped and the setting up of the desolating monstrosity.
The time the daily sacrifice is stopped is the year 70. This is also when the 'desolating monstrosity' is setup, because Jerusalem and the temple were destroyed. Daniel 9:27 also mentions this and Jesus refers to it in Matthew 24:15 and Luke 21:20 specifies that this is about the destruction of Jerusalem.

We know that the 1260 prophetic days run from the year 70 to 1948. That means 1260 prophetic days are 1878 real years in our time. Which is about 1.49 years per prophetic day.
If we calculate 1290 days from the year 70 on, we end up at the year (1878 / 1260 * 1290 +70 = ) 1993.
12:12 Happy is the one who waits and reaches one thousand three hundred thirty-five days.
Here it says it is possible that those 1290 days also might be able to last up to 1335 days.
With 1335 prophetic days we end up in (1878 / 1260 * 1335 + 70) = 2060.

It means something is going to happen between the year 1993 and 2060.
12:13 Now as for you, go on to the end. You will rest and will stand to receive your reward at the end of days."
It is confirmed to Daniel that this message is about the end of time and that he will resurrect. Since the topic of this chapter is the resurrection of the dead, we may say that will happen anywhere between 1993 and 2060.
From Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:51 we know that this happens when Jesus Messiah comes back.

Since we are living in 2019, Jesus Messiah could come back within 1, 5, 10 or 40 years.

This is consistent with what Jesus says in Matthew 24:32-36
32 “Now from the fig tree learn this parable. When its branch has now become tender, and puts forth its leaves, you know that the summer is near. 33 Even so you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.34 Most assuredly I tell you, this generation (or race) will not pass away, until all these things are accomplished. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. 36 But no one knows of that day and hour, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Jesus says that no one knows the day or hour, but we can know the season and when it comes close.

Revelation 13 cannot be properly understood without Daniel 7

In Revelation 13 it is talked about a beast coming from the sea (verse 1), a beast coming from the earth ( verse 11) and and a living image (or idol) of the beast (verse 14) that has to be worshipped as a god (verse 15) but in fact is a human (verse 18). Beast from the sea In Daniel 7 four beasts come from the sea: Daniel 7:3 And four great beasts were coming up from the sea, different from one another. They look like a lion, bear and leopard, but the fourth is unspecified (verses 4-7). In verse 23 it says those beasts are KINGDOMS: Daniel 7:23 “This is what he said: ‘The fourth beast will be a fourth kingdom on the earth which will be different from all the other kingdoms, and will devour the whole earth and trample it down and crush it. Those kingdoms can be identified as the Babylonian empire, the Persian empire, the Greek empire of Alexander the Great which was divided among his four generals and the Roman Empire. The beast from the sea in Revelation 14 consists of a lion, b...

Matthew 24 can only be understood when synced with Luke 17 and 21

According to tradition Mark gathered quotes and events from Jesus when Peter spoke. As such and because Mark was not a witness himself of these events, the result is not very chronological. Nevertheless Mark did a good job, because Matthew who was a witness follows him to a very large extent, but he did not change a lot regarding to the chronology either. But this was confusing at some points, therefor Luke says in the first four verses of his report, that he went through the previous written material (as well as adding new things from witnesses) to put it into a consistent and chronological order. One of the problems with Mark is his chapter 13 and Matthew's chapter 24. Quotes from Jesus about the destruction of Jerusalem and of the second coming of Christ were mixed together. Therefore Luke splits those into two. Chapter 17 is only about the coming of Christ and chapter 21 first is about the destruction of Jerusalem and then switches to Jesus' second coming. ...

Why most of Revelation is not chronological

There are many reasons why Revelation should not be treated as an exclusively chronological timeline of events. There is some chronology, but there are also a lot of intertwined visions with overlaps. For instance the Beast from the Sea in chapter 13 is the Roman empire. But the Whore riding the Dragon in chapter 17 with it's seven kings is also a depiction of the same Roman empire. Next, the vision of the Woman with the 12 Stars (chapter 12) is about (true) Israel giving birth to Jesus and being persecuted by the dragon (devil/Roman Empire). It ENDS with the Woman being kept safe for 1260 days. The Vision of the  Two Witnesses  (chapter 11) STARTS with a period of 42 months or 1260 days. Whatever your interpretation is of the Vision of the Two Witnesses (chapter 11), it happens AFTER that of the Woman with the 12 Stars (chapter 12), but it is written BEFORE it. There are many repetitions. Another reason is that there are many repetitions of the same event. ...
